  1. Zantac is available over the counter, however the only strength available is 75mgs. Since many users need 300mgs this can be very expensive indeed. Roaccutane is available only on a prescription issued by a specialist secondary care dermatologist, i.e. even GPs cannot issue prescriptions for this drug,

  2. You can buy Zantac without a prescription (I have done it many times) but Roaccutane is a prescription only medication – you need a pregnancy test before it is prescribed too (if you’re female of course) because of the side effects.

  3. Don’t think so but it is everso easy to ring a local doc and find out – or we have NHS Direct which is a helpline service – generally for worries but I guess you are woried so you could ring them 0845 4647, you have med insurance? then you are covered for loss of drugs most used
